MEHELY´S HUMMING FROG Chiasmocleis mehelyi
A cryptic species in this complex genus of frogs, Mehely´s Humming Frog can be distinguished from the very similar Chiasmoocleis albopunctata by the absence of a supratympanic fold and morphological characters of the hands and dorsum. The species has recently been discovered in Paraguay at Laguna Blanca by Para La Tierra fieldworkers and images will be available here as soon as the documentation of the species has been published.
