YELLOW-CHINNED SPINETAIL Certhiaxis cinnamomeus
Rowdy and gregarious, the Yellow-chinned Spinetail is one of the most numerous inhabitants of Paraguayan marshes. Though naturally skulking in behaviour, constant harsh calling reveals the presence of small family groups in dense reedy or bushy cover. In most cases they afford only a glimpse of a fairly long-tailed, uniformly rufous bird darting from one patch of cover to the next, usually followed by the other members of its party.
