BOA CONSTRICTOR Boa constrictor
The mighty Boa Constrictor needs no introduction. Though he is non-venomous (he kills his prey by constriction) he is still capable of a nasty bite! Boa Constrictors are attractively-patterned but not for aesthetic purposes! Their complex colouration helps to break-up the outline of the snake against a carpet of dead leaves, meaning that you could pass right by him without ever knowing he was there!
