BERYTIDAE: STILT BUGS
Aptly named, Stilt Bugs are unusuallt long-legged bugs with characteristically swollen knees. Slender and elongate bodies and exaggerated antennae with an "elbow" after the second joint, plus a slightly clubbed ending help confirm the identification. These are slow-moving, herbivorous bugs, rarely larger than 10mm in length. Around 200 species are known worldwide.
