PEACH-FRONTED PARAKEET Aratinga aurea
A long time ago British football fans used to sing "He´s got a pineapple on his head!" mocking the hairstyle of Nottingham Forest striker Jason Lee. Whilst this little parakeet doesn´t exactly have a peach on his head, the splash of peachy colouration on his forehead is its most distinctive character. It is the smallest of the Aratinga parakeets, reaching its greatest abundance in the cerrado zone of the northern Orient.
