YELLOW-BILLED PINTAIL Anas georgica
This duck has been reported several times in Paraguay but confirmation of its presence is still required in the form of a photograph. It is likely a rare winter visitor and the best place to look for it would be the saline lagoons of the Central Chaco. The photograph below was taken in Argentina where the species is common and is included here to assist with identification. Any duck with a yellow bill seen in Paraguay is something special so look carefully at it and, if possible, get a photograph!
