MONTE AKODON Akodon montensis
This small reddish mouse is a common species in forests and forest edge of eastern Paraguay. Several species of Akodon are found in Paraguay and their identification to species level can be challenging. Measurements are important to confirm identification, particularly of the ear, foot and tail to body length ratio. This species has the tail about 80% of the head and body length.
